On the northern edge of the Southern California Bight, there’s a city by a beach called Santa Barbara. Many know of this city for its downtown beaches, iconic Spanish architecture, and even as the setting for the TV show Psych. But to Drty Blue, Santa Barbara is the origin of our team.
Drty Blue members Drake Sahm, Vince Galli, and Lucas Lowe met at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB), and were inspired to make a drink that encapsulates the fresh, outdoorsy, and vibrant energy of these beaches.
These waters have been a second home for the Drty Blue members ever since. Vince, a lifelong surfer, has spent countless hours surfing breaks; his connection to the ocean has woven into the fabric of his life. Lucas, an avid scuba diver, frequents the kelp forests teeming with marine life. And Drake? Drake finds his inspiration in the aesthetic beauty of the ocean, reflecting his appreciation for the grandeur and boundless wonder of nature.
Beyond the Drty Blue team, these beaches provide thousands with recreational opportunities with activities like volleyball, sunbathing, tidepooling, and more! Protecting this environment is at the heart of what we do—whether it’s through upholding sustainability in our product life cycle or donating to efforts that protect our oceans and coastal spaces.
